Jake Dunne - 5K/10K Coach
When Jake Dunne isn't on KWCH channel 12 giving Kansans the ten-day forecast, chances are he is out for a run.
Jake started running in high school on the track and cross country teams, but it wasn't until a couple decades later when Dunne was bitten by the running bug. 5K's turned into 10Ks and 10Ks turned into half marathons and before he knew it Jake was running 75 miles a week and 3000 miles a year.
In addition to coaching little league football and teaching people how to snow ski, Jake is also a certified fitness trainer and thoroughly enjoys helping people reach their goals.
If your goal is to run your first 5K or complete a marathon in under 90 minutes, Jake will help get you there.
Tony Brown - Half/Full Marathon Coach
I am in my 49th year of competitive running, I coached long distance runners for 2 years at Logan High School while going to college. With the exception of 2 sessions, I have been a part of every group run session since it's conception as GoRun Wichita as a coach, mentor or participant. I currently train for ultra-marathons having completed my first 50 mile on my 50th birthday 11 years ago. I use my running to raise money for charitable organizations and have done so since 1988. I have been a race coordinator for cross state relays, race director, and volunteer. Along with Fleet Feet running programs, I am a member of the USATF, RRCA, Lawrence Trail Hawks and Kansas Ultra Runners Society. Having spent 49 years running distances from 5K through the marathon and the last 11 years I have added the 50K, 50 mile, 100K, 100 mile, 200 mile and 6 different 24 hour runs on a 400 meter track. My most memorable feet happened last year when, for the 2nd time in 9 years, I ran 5,000+ miles for charity, raising just shy of $12,000. I am know both as "TonyB" and "that crazy runner". I truly enjoy running and helping others in any way I can.
